The book reflects the spirit of a larger-than-life innovator whose style and influence transformed the fashion industry from the turn of the 20th century to his passing in 1936.
Henri Bendel, Inc., the Manhattan-based store which defined modern retail, survived Bendel until its closure in 2019. The book features period photographs, illustrations, concept art and advertisements from the full 123-year history of the famous department store.
