The University of Louisiana at ĒąÉ¬Ö±²„ is among the top public universities in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Reportās 2026 edition of āBest Colleges.ā
UL ĒąÉ¬Ö±²„ was No. 203 in the public universities category; it was also ranked at No. 373 in that national universities category.
U.S. News & World Reportās annual guidebook assists prospective students and their parents with decisions about which colleges to attend.
Rankings are based on a variety of factors, including an institutionās academics and research, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, and social mobility. The 2026 edition of āBest Collegesā publishes school profiles that provide information on academic and campus life, application requirements, financial aid, degrees offered and tuition.
In addition to national rankings, the guidebook also includes rankings in a range of other categories.
Among academic programs, UL ĒąÉ¬Ö±²„ earned high marks for undergraduate nursing programs (No. 135); undergraduate engineering programs at schools that grant doctoral degrees (No. 176); undergraduate computer science programs (No. 212); undergraduate business programs (No. 225); and undergraduate psychology programs (No. 480).
The University was also recognized in the top performers on social mobility category (No. 371).
