Dear Faculty & Staff,

Later this week the University of Louisiana System will hold its monthly meeting in Baton Rouge. I am emailing you today to keep you informed about agenda items that affect our university.  I will seek the board’s approval to broaden the responsibilities and change the title for Dr. Steve Landry to Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.  I will also request approval to name Dean Edward Pratt as Interim Vice President for Çàɬֱ²¥ Affairs.

Based on the input we received during the transition and the impact of the retirement of key senior administrators, I am also asking the board’s permission to begin making some initial organizational changes. I will be working with Dr. Randy Moffett, UL System President, on these organizational changes. No final decisions have been made at this time. I will keep you informed of this process and I pledge that the decisions we make will occur only after careful consideration and always with the best long-term interest of the university in mind.
