September 3, 2010 — Campus Life
Dear Çàɬֱ²¥s,
The beginning of each new semester is a very exciting and hopeful time. As I’ve walked the campus these last two weeks, it is obvious what our students mean to the university. You give the university a certain rhythm and an energy that is palpable. In short, you give the campus “life.â€
By now you should be settled into your new routine. It is my hope that your classes are off to a great start. I encourage you to get involved in the many activities occurring around campus this semester, but I urge you to remember that attending class regularly, completing your assignments on time, and establishing a positive relationship with your professors are keys to a successful semester. The university is here to support you in your efforts, but you must do your part to ensure a positive outcome. Your success is our success. If you need assistance in any way, please contact the Çàɬֱ²¥ Affairs Office or take advantage of the services in the Academic Success Center.
Good luck and welcome! We’re glad you’re here.
Sincerely,
E. Joseph Savoie
